I don't intend to watch another Engaland game until the first game in Russia...the qualifyers tell us abso nothing. Saying that, I will be tempted to watch the Scotland clashes.

People complaining about the style of football we can expect should take into account the fact that German and Italian teams have not exactly been excitement machines down the years.

They haven't done too badly.

You know what I think he'll make a success of it. He's hardly had a disastrous career, and to be honest he's the man to get the job done, just like he did at Sunderland and just like he did here. If it means dull but effective football then so be it, we deserve it!!

"Who exactly are the senior players, Sydney"

Hart, Milner, Cahill and Wozza.

Not that i really expect Sam to get rid of all of this lot, IMO he should though, make a fresh start, new Captain and some new blood as on current showing at least another 5 or 6 others need dropping as well including Wilshire who i do rate but until hes back to his best with Arsenal should be nowhere near the national team.

Rooney should keep on apologizing to the country for his and the squad's piss poor performances at the Euros...

Not sucking up to Allardyce to keep his place ...

Wayne Rooney believes Sam Allardyce is the perfect appointment as England manager.

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/england/story/2916511/sam-allardyce-appointment-good-for-england-wayne-rooney

WTF, wasn't he saying that a top foreign manager is what the players wanted after Roy got the bullet? Also looking to hold onto the Captains armband and his place in the team, hope the Oaf does the right thing and has a clear out of senior players, they and there attitudes seem to have been a factor in recent tournamounts....

Face pointed out that the oaf got us into europe.

Yes he did. Via the fucking fair play league. Well done.

Re: Did they do the Rooney rule when they was interviewing?
miike - Rooney will be happy that it's a manager who won't have the balls to tell him his England career is over, and Allardyce certainly won't.

The players are entitled to an opinion, Miiiichael.

PD, what winds me up is on the news over here they're quoting Rooney as saying 'he's happy for Big Sam to manage England'. im sorry but when the fuck was it any business of the players who managed England? they should concentrate on playing. fucking sick of these underperforming cunts

Allardyce will be in awe of Rooney.

Re: Did they do the Rooney rule when they was interviewing?
as i expected, the Granny Shagger will continue playing for England. yet another bad decision that will delay any progress while he's shoehorned in to the midfield. you think he'd have enough self awareness to realise he's now past it but sadly no

The players.

Think it was Reid or maybe Cole who did an interview saying we rarely focused on the opposition, OAF didn't worry about that apparently.

Ronald_antly 6:03 Sat Jul 23
Re: New England Manager?
A bit.

What is the source for your claims regarding the players' complaints?

Johnson 6:01 Sat Jul 23
Re: New England Manager?
Maybe without the backdrop of survival for money he'll be free and his team will play that way.

I wait to be convinced.

Ok Ron, the club failed to win 19 out of 22. There was a culture of blame from the manager when it suited and excuses when it didn't. Players reported a lack of match prep, tactics or motivation.

That better?

Lee Trundle 5:55 Sat Jul 23
Re: New England Manager?
I think it's a little wrong to highlight his cup failings (which others have suggested earlier on this thread) with us as a reason why he's going to be crap for England though. It's not like he's going to deliberately field weakened teams for England now, is it?

I'm very much a part time England supporter, so if I don't hear much from him in the next 2 years, which is unlikely, and we qualify and do alright in Russia, then the appointment might be a little more palatable, for me anyways.
